Destination Thanksgiving in Gatlinburg

Some friends of ours so graciously offered their timeshare to us for Thanksgiving week,"let's go somewhere for Thanksgiving this year"
Yay- that sounds fun!

Yep, that's my car filled to capacity with food! It's all great in theory...
Then you try to shop for and pack the car with food for a week PLUS Thanksgiving day food for 8 people, and you'll see how quickly your thoughts go from "Yay" to "What have I done?"

It was quite a challenge, probably not my finest moment, HOWEVER, it was very fun! I would do it again, but this time, we would shop at the ridiculously overpriced grocery store when we got there, and eat out on Thanksgiving day...like my Mimi would allow that blasphemy!

It really was great to be with my family and Shane's Mom and our accommodations were fabulous for a large group. We had a great time at the aquarium and shopping in downtown.

All in all, a lot of work = a giant success!
